Duke Alexander Stinson-June 5, 2009

He is finally here....Duke was born on Friday, June 5, 2009 at Saddleback Hospital at 8:13pm, he was 8 pounds 6 ounces and 21 inches long. He is the cutest thing I have ever seen. He has got a ton of brown hair and large dark blue eyes.

Rick and I are so in love with him....he is keeping up on our toes-and this month has flown by, I can't believe he is going to be 4 weeks on Friday.

He is so alert and has been since the time he was born-he loves to look around and also has started to make eye contact when you hold him. He love to eat and sleep....He has forever changed our life and we could not be more content-he makes us a family! We are so excited to watch him grow and change and look forward to the years to come...Welcome Duke!

It was a fun party and the weather was nice! Everyone enjoyed the BBQ and a lot of the group even tried out paddle boarding for the 1st time. We got some great gifts for our "little guy"-can't wait till he can use them...

2 Weeks till D-day

Is it the end of May yet???

2 weeks from yesterday is my due date of May 25th-I am starting to get more unconfortable and not sleeping good at all. So, I am ready for him to come anyday.

I just can't wait to see what he is going to look like...will he look more like Rick or me?...or a combo?...will he have lots or hair or be bald?...what color will his hair be if he has any?....How much will he weigh? how long will he be?

The Dr. said she thinks he will be around 8.5 pounds and really long...so it will be interesting to see how close she is to her prediction from the ultrasound we had a few weeks ago. When we did have the ultrasound they said everything look really healthy and good, he was in the right position (head down) and is wraped in my belly in a c shape-with his body on my left side and his legs and feet on my right...my belly feels and looks like a big basketball...haha.

Both of the showers were great....My Aunt Sharon and counsins did a wonderful job and we had a very nice brunch at her house. The Stinson's threw us a fun couples/family shower at the harbor and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We got great gifts and we have everything we need for the baby. The house is covered with baby stuff and everything set-up...now we just wait for his arrival.

I hope the next two weeks go smoothly and we are so looking forward to meeting the new member of our family.

2 Months from yesterday!

Well my due date is 2 months from yesterday. Time is really starting to go by fast and I can't believe our little guy is going to be here before we know it. I can't wait to meet him! He is pretty active and does most of his moving and shaking in the evenings after dinner.....but also moves after every meal...which lastly is every few hours...I have been quite hungry!

I have another Dr. appt on Tuesday and then will be seeing the Dr. every 2 weeks until he comes. At our last Dr. appt on March 10th we had a ultrasound done and he is measuring both weight and height 2 weeks ahead, they said he was around 3.5 pounds-we all know he is going to be a big boy with the height of Rick and I. I am going to talk to the Dr. more this appt about how his measuing ahead will affect my due date, if at all.

My shower that my Aunt Sharon and cousins are throwing me is coming up on April 5th and should be a nice brunch..Jessica is coming into town the day before and it is always good to see her...also the shower the Stinsons are throwing is on April 25th..we got the invitation this week and they are so cute....it is going to be at baby beach in the Dana Point Harbor and it should be a fun day in the sun....we are hoping the weather is nice! So, we have lots of fun things to look forward to in the months to come...

29 Weeks and counting.....

Officially in the 3rd Trimester...29 weeks today and counting...we have another Dr. appt. tomorrow afternoon and get another ultrasound which I am looking forward too. I am sure he has grown a lot since our last one a few months ago.

We had a busy weekend-Rick did the paddle race in the Dana Point harbor on Saturday and we went over to his parents house for Katie & Kylee's (Jen & Steve's girls) 2nd Birthday.

My Aunt Sharon and cousins Shannon, Stacy, and Kelly are throwing me a baby shower at the beginning of April which should be a lot of fun-we also are going to have a couples shower in the Dana Point Harbor with some of Rick's co-workers at the end of April which Shirley & Richard are going to host. Lots of fun things to look forward to.
